I am a new developer eager to continue learning more about coding and developing. I have a lot of experience working in a team atmosphere, taking orders, and giving orders. Before becoming a Web Developer I was a Journeyman Tree Trimmer keeping trees near power lines trimmed. While a Journeyman Tree Trimmer, I learned that organization and communication is the key to a team working efficiently and safely. If there was a road block and the plan needed to be re-evaluated it would be done as a team using each individual's different perspectives to re-work the plan and continue with the new plan. I believe this type of team work transfers directly to working in a web development team.
Solving problems has always been enjoyable for me! Once the problem has been solved you have generally learned something and you've become better because of it.
While I was a Journeyman Tree Trimmer, I learned quickly that not only did I have to face the consequences of my actions but my crew's actions as well.
Over time, I've come to realize that being a leader does not mean that you have to be the best at something. Being a leader means you motivate people and do your best to place them in position that the team will benefit the most from, but also where that individual will thrive and grow.
